チェコ・プラハを拠点に活動する気鋭のポストパンクバンド、Alpha Strategy（アルファ・ストラテジー）が４曲収録の新作EP『Staple My Hand To Yours』を本日（６/８）リリースします。バンドの音楽は、Birthday Party(Nick Cave)、Gilla Band、The Jesus Lizard等が引き合いに出される。チェコでのライブ映像が公開されていますので、下記よりチェックしてみて下さい。
今回リリースされたEP『Staple My Hand To Yours』はオーディオ・スタジオにてスティーヴ・アルビニ（Steve Abini)とともにレコーディングされ、その後、シカゴのマスタリングサービスでボブ・ウェストンがマスタリングを手掛けています。
『Staple My Hand to Yours』には、前作『The Gurgler』（スティーヴ・アルビニがレコーディングを担当）がポーランドのレーベル、”Antena Krzyku”からリリースされた2018年以来となるアルファ・ストラテジーの新曲が収録されている。バンドのフロントマンである Rory Hinchey（ローリー・ヒンチー）は、このEPについて、次のようなメッセージを添えてくれました。
『The Gurgler』のリリース以降、バンドの状況はかなり変化した。2019年、私（ローリー・ヒンチー）、ジェイムズ・マクアダムス、エヴァン・シダウィ、ダン・エドワーズのオール・ラインナップが、カナダのトロントからベルリンに一時的に拠点を移し、ヨーロッパ12カ国をツアーした後、彼らは最終的に全員バンドを脱退し、カナダに戻った。
私は、2011年にソロ・プロジェクトの一貫としてアルファ・ストラテジーを始めたので、このまま活動を続けたいと思い、一緒に続けられる新しいクルーを探すことを選んだ。
2019年末、プラハに住むようになって間もなく、Martin Doležal（guitar - Très, Bazdesh, ex-Stinka）、Filip Miškařík（drums - Hothouse, Très）、Ondřej Červený（bass - ex-Stinka）が加わり、彼らは、現在、私と共に現在のグループを形成している。

Alpha Strategy, an up-and-coming post-punk band based in Prague, Czech Republic, is releasing a new four-song EP, "Staple My Hand To Yours," today (June 8). The band's music is cited by Birthday Party (Nick Cave), Gilla Band, The Jesus Lizard, and others. The EP "Staple My Hand To Yours" was recorded with Steve Abini at Audio Studios and mastered by Bob Weston at Mastering Services in Chicago.
Staple My Hand to Yours" includes the first new music since 2018, when the previous album "The Gurgler" (recorded by Steve Albini) was released on the Polish label "Antena Krzyku". It features new music from Alpha Strategy. Rory Hinchey, the band's frontman, added the following message about the EP.
Since the release of The Gurgler, things have changed quite a bit for the band: in 2019, the entire lineup of myself (Rory Hinchey), James McAdams, Evan Sidawy, and Dan Edwards temporarily relocated from Toronto, Canada to Berlin and toured 12 European After touring in 12 countries, they eventually all left the band and returned to Canada.
I started Alpha Strategy in 2011 as part of a solo project and wanted to keep it going, so I opted to find a new crew to continue with.
At the end of 2019, shortly after I started living in Prague, Martin Doležal (guitar - Très, Bazdesh, ex-Stinka), Filip Miškařík (drums - Hothouse, Très) and Ondřej Červený (bass - ex-. Stinka) joined us and they now form the current group with me.
In addition to recording "Staple My Hand to Yours" with Steve Albini, they have played over 50 concerts in Europe and Canada in the past three years, with more international dates planned for 2024.
They are also regular contributors to my "Aww Man Radio & Concerts," which organizes live performances of national and international bands in Prague and provides a monthly live stream radio show/podcast.
