AIM Independent Music Awardsのノミネートアーティストが発表される

 

 

9月28日にロンドンのRoundhouseで開催されるAIM Independent Music Awardsの2022年度のノミネートアーティストが発表された。この賞は、インディペンデントレーベルに所属する新人アーティストを中心にスポットライトを当てることを目的とし、２０１１年から毎年開催されている。この賞は、Meta,Spotify,Deezer,BBCといった複数のスポンサー企業の共催で行われる。

今回は、Wet Leg、Nova Twins、Knucks、Children of Zeus、TAAHLIAH、Jeshi、Nilüfer Yanya、そして、前回の受賞者であるDaveとFKA Twigsがダブルノミネートで首位を独走している。

特に注目しておきたいのが、スコットランドのインディーロックバンド、Walt Discoでしょう。彼らののデビュー作『Unlearning』はベスト・インディペンデント・アルバムにノミネートされている。さらに新部門として設立された「ベスト・インディペンデントEP/ミックステープ」では、Joy Orbison、Surya Sen、Wesley Jospehといった面々がノミネートされている。
