Def.foが、フレッシュなトリップポップ・バンガー「Godly」を本日リリースします。（CD/Vinyleの予約等はこちらから）同時公開されたミュージック・ビデオを下記よりチェックしてみて下さい。

 

このニューシングルは、ソリッドなトリップホップ 、ストンプ・グルーヴ、Gファンク・アナログ、そして霞んだヴォーカルにより繰り広げられる、自己認識と宇宙的な繋がりの幽玄の旅である。

 

「Godly」は、人生の旅路を大切にし、自らを受け入れることを思い出させる。私たちを取り巻く環境に対する畏敬を込めたこの曲は、宇宙の中に一体感を見出し、神への深い感覚を得るべくリスナーを誘う。

プロダクションの指揮を執るのは、トム・パウエルとスティーヴ・パウエル（ザ・ストランズ、ジョン・パワー、ザ・ステアーズ）の共同親子チーム。

 

ミックスはロイ・マーチャント（Cold Cut、M.I.A、Kano）が担当。マスタリングは、ヒップホップ・クラシックの数々を手掛けた伝説的人物、ハウィー・ワインバーグ（De La Soul、Beastie Boys、Public Enemy）が担当している。

 

レコーディングでは、トム・パウエルがヴォーカル、ギター/ベースを担当し、ジェイク・ウッドワード（ノヴァ・ツインズ、ピーター・ペレット）のヘヴィなドラム・ビートも加わっている。

The new single is an ethereal journey of self-awareness and cosmic connection, a solid trip-hop, stomping groove, G-funk analogs, and hazy vocals.
 
”Godly" reminds us to cherish the journey of life and embrace who we are. Awe-inspiring in its reverence for our surroundings, it invites the listener to find a sense of oneness within the universe and a deeper sense of the divine.

Production is helmed by the father-son team of Tom Powell and Steve Powell (The Strands, John Power, The Stairs).
 
The mix is by Roy Merchant (Cold Cut, M.I.A., and Kano). Mastering was done by the legendary Howie Weinberg (De La Soul, Beastie Boys, The Stairs), who has worked on many hip-hop classics.
 
The recording features vocals and guitar/bass by Tom Powell, with heavy drum beats by Jake Woodward (Nova Twins, Peter Perret).
