ニューヨークのコンポーザー・ギタリスト、Ezra Feinberg(エズラ・ファインバーグ)がサード・アルバム『Soft Power』を5月31日（金）にTonal Unionからリリースした。

 

本作には、メアリー・ラティモア、デヴィッド・ムーア（ビング＆ルース）、ジェフレ・カントゥ＝レデスマ、ロビー・リーといった豪華なミュージシャンが参加している。タイトル曲のビデオが公開されています。下記より。

本作はすでにピッチフォーク、フェイダー、ガーディアン、アンカット、モジョから支持されている。


豊富なメロディー、繰り返される図形、そして恍惚とした即興演奏によって定義されるSoft Powerは、聴き手を力づける啓蒙的で変容的な精神を醸し出している。ファインバーグはリスナーを芸術的に豊かな場所へと超越させ、彼の作曲はその核にある深い人間性によって際立ち、リスナーを目を見開き、開放的で生き生きとした状態へと導く。

“Much like everyday life, I wanted to convey these very plain, simple, tranquil, nearly quotidian aspects, but each piece contains this arc in which that form expands, is broken out of, so what starts out like a painting of flowers in a seaside motel turns into a riot of color and sound, or you feel slipped into a dream that feels like it could go on forever”
