ブリストルのスロウコア/オルタナティブ・フォークバンド、Sweltがニューシングル「My Only  Reflection」をリリースしました。同時に公開されたミュージックビデオは下記よりご覧下さい。

 

バンドは以前、3回にわたってライブビデオ、Dug It Outをミュージックビデオで公開しています。

Sweltのシンガー/リードソングライターのルーベンはニューシングルについて次のように説明しています。

My Only Reflectionは、Jason Molinaのバックカタログを探したり、ドキュメンタリー映画 "Get Back "を観たりしていた時期に書いたもので、その影響が音楽にも出ていると思う。

この曲のテーマは死別と個人的な喪失感で、そのような状況の中で書かれたものです。この曲を演奏するのは難しいことですが、カタルシスもあります。おそらく、これまで書いた曲の中で最も個人的な曲だと思う。

 

Bristol slowcore/alternative folk band Swelt have released a new single, 'My Only Reflection'. Watch the music video, released at the same time, below. The band have previously released three live videos and Dug It Out with music videos.

Singer + lead songwriter Ruben describes the new single as follows.

   'My Only Reflection was written during a time when I was searching Jason Molina's back catalogue and watching the documentary film Get Back, and I think that influence is evident in the music.

   The theme of the song is bereavement and personal loss, and it was written in that context. It is difficult to perform this piece, but it is also cathartic. It's probably the most personal song I've ever written.
